Wooley, City EngineerPe SUBJECT: 0DOT Projects on Hall Boulevard Several State projects on Hall Boulevard Qve been delayed due to lack of fun6o. 8 lung delay by the Congress in approving Federal highway funding for the current Federal fiscal year led to funding shortages in many states . Oregon Department of Transportation chose to use State funds Co keep the larger projects proceeding towards construction this year while awaiting release of Federal funds. The result now is that the most critical projects remain on schedule but funds are not adequate to cover all of the smaller State—funded projects originally scheduled for 1087 and 1988 . Unfunded projects have been rescheduled for later years . Projects with revised schedules include the following: PROJECT REVISED TE Hall Blvd. bike lanes (McDonald—Durham R6 ) 1988 Hall/McDonald signal & turn lane We 1988 Hall/Burnham signal & turn lane 1990 Hall/Pfaffle turn lane 1940 Hall/Oak turn lane 1991 cn/O401D MEMORANDUM CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON TO: Tigard Transportation Advisory Committee June 25, 1987 FROM: Randall R. Wooley, City Enginee / ` - SUBJE::C;T: :Joint Park Board Meeting At the last meeting you asked me to explore the possibility of a joint meeting with the Park Board in July to discuss planning for bike routes . I have learned that the Park Board has a rather long meeting planned already for July; so, that is probably not: a good time to meet with them. I will explore a joint meeting schedule for August. (33AOP) r "two, MEMORANDUM CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON TO: Mayor and Council June 25, 1987 FROM: Randall R. Wooley, City Engineer SUBJECT: Funding for Regional Bicycle Projects Recently, METRO selected a priority list of bicycle improvement projects to suggest for State "Priority 3" funding during FY 1989-91 . Priority 3 funds can be used only on regional bike routes. Two Tigard projects were selected. The priority list which METRO has submitted to the State is as follows: Project Location Length Cost 1. Reconnaissance I-2.05 West Linn--Tualatin $ 30,000 _2. Tigard Hall Blvd. Hunziker—McDonald $200,000 3. Washington Co. Cedar Hills Blvd. Parkway--Sunset Hwy . $155,000 4. Beaverton Cedar Hills/Walker Huntington--123rd $ 70,000 5. Beaverton Jamieson, Road Pinehurs—Scholls F-ry $ 72,000 6. Tigard McDonald Street 99W — Hall Blvd. $ 80,000 It appears that the Hall Blvd. project has an excellent chance of receiving funding for 1989 or 1990 construction. The project would provide shoulders for bike and pedestrian safety. cc: Transportation Advisory Committee (3340P)
