SUBJECT: Update
1. Bond projects
Bids have been awarded for the Durham Rd. , Walnut St., and 121st Ave. bond
projects. Construction is starting on all three projects.
We are about ready to go to bid on the first portion of the Greenburg Rd.
project. This first bid will be for the storm drainage work needed at Center
Street. The next phase (underground utilities) will be bid as soon as right-
of-way acquisition is completed.
The Council has authorized us to begin design on the Main Street bridge
replacement. Construction will be scheduled for 1991.
2. CIP
A construction contract has been awarded for the Greenburg/Cascade signal.
The Council accepted the Committee's recommendation for new projects for the
1990-91 CIP.
3. Comprehensive Plan
The Council will be initiating consideration of amendments to the Comprehensive
Plan Transportation Map. It is likely that these proposals will come before
the Committee for comment in August and September. The proposals relate to
previous planning work in the City Center and Northeast Bull Mountain areas.
