SUBJECT: Next Meeting
The next meeting of the Economic Development Steering Committee will be
held on Wednesday, April 13, 1983 at 7:30 A.M. at Elmer's Restaurant.
The Committee's newest member, JB Bishop will meet with us. Our main
topic of discussion will be consideration of expanding the committee
to include new members. Your suggestions concerning potential
representatives of the following areas will be appreciated:
1) Planning Commission Representative
2) Tigard Urban Renewal Advisory Committee Chairman
3) Representative of a Primary Industry
4) Representative of a Secondary Industry
5) Representative of a Service Industry, perhaps High Tech
6) Real Estate Representative
7) Banking Representative
8) Business Park Manager
9) Education Representative
10) Job Training Representative
11) Retail Merchant
12) Commercial/Private Property Owner
We will also discuss the timing of phasing these new members in as well
as future meeting scheduling.
Attached is a copy of Beaverton's brochure on economic development. The
City should consider whether or not such a product should be prepared for
Tigard.
