ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING
Tuesday, February 16, 1988, 7:20 a.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Susan Clark, Amu DeBernardio' Bob Pierce
OTHERS PRESENT: John Acker
Committee members approved the minutes of the January 10, 1980, meeting.
John gave a brief update on the City Center Plan "Task Force. An the first
part of Hnboon` o market study a citizen' s workshop is being held on Saturday,
February 20. Susan said she will be attending the workshop and would report
to the committee at the next meeting.
The various other studies that are to be undertaken by consultants (Fanno
Creek Park, Transportation, Financial) were discussed. Amo noted that studies
were 0K but it should be clear that something must be done.
John gave updates on area developmento . It was discussed that Albertuonu was
open and is a very "up—scale" store with deli, bakery, etc. ' that seems to be
geared to families with two workers . Other projects are moving along as
scheduled .
The committee discussed what could be dune to promote the result of the
triangle questionnaire that was mailed the end of January. Bob suggested that
a committee member, make a presentation to the I-5 Corridors , Amo said we
might want to send copies of the results and the questionnaire to the Chamber.
Amu asked that a new list of committee members with addresses and phone
numbers be sent to all members .
Next meeting will be March 15, 1988, at 7:30 a.m. at Davidson' s.
