Youth Advisory Council - Minutes

1. CALL TO ORDER—3:04 PM
2. ROLL CALL
In attendance: Kent Wyatt,Adam LaFountain, Caleigh Smith,Zahra Hashmat,Danny Shimanovsky,
Marquesa Calderon,Emily Webster,Juliette Tisseur,Landon Carlson,Hannah Alzgal
Excused: Barbara Ann, Sarah Oh
Unexcused: Skyler Gambill
3. NEW BUSINESS
• Victoria Gayley will be awarded the December Youth Spotlight for working on the giving
tree.
• We'll begin a winter photo contest. Zahra has completed the flyer.
• Potential guest speakers -Police:January 23 and State Representative: February 6
4. OLD BUSINESS
Interviews for the DC Trip will be held in the next two weeks. Each of the six applicants will be
interviewed.The final selection will be made by the end of the month.
We continue to work on the Free Little Library and Street Cleanup.The group will meet on January
14 at 9:30 a.m. to work on the projects.We'll coordinate with Marland.
We have a number of blankets to donate.We hope to donate to one of the severe weather shelters.
