MUNICIPAL CODE SEC"PION 3.50 FOR FIVF.NON-PROFIT LOW-INCOME HOUSING PROJECTS

WHEREAS,Tigard Municipal Code ('1'i\IC) section 3.50 pro-6des procedures for application and consideration
on non-profit corporation low-income housing project exemptions from property taxes;and
VJ II:aREAS,the'f-,%[(l requires application for exemption be filed with the city by March 1;and
WHEREAS,Community Partners for Affordable Housing is a qualified non-profit organization, filed a request
dated February 6, 2017 for exemption from property taxes for four low-income housing projects, and meets all
the applicable criteria for exemption in'T NIC 3.50,and
WIII,'REAS, Resident Resources filed a request dated February 10, 2017 for exemption, and meets all the
applicable criteria for exemption in T1\IC 3.50;and
`y'HIREAS,upon review of the application it was found granting the exemptions would be consistent with the
applicable Tigard Municipal Code and also with the adopted city housing policies.
NOW,THERF1,'ORE,B1? IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The applicants, Community Partners for Affordable Housing and Resident Resources qualified
for the exemption set forth in Tigard 1\1unicipal Code Section 3.50.
SECTION 2: The Finance and Information Services Director is directed to certify to the Assessor of
Washington County that the five properties that receivcd exemption in the prior year:
a. Village at Washington Square,11157-11163 SW I Iall Blvd.,Tigard
b. Single-family house located at 9330 Sly'Tangela Court,Tigard
c. Greenburg Oaks, 11875 S\X,'91"Avenue,Tigard
d. The Knoll c@ Tigard, 12291 SLY Knoll Drive,Tigard
e. Hawthorne Villas,7705 SW'Pfaffle,Tigard
SECI"ION 3: The Finance and Information Services Director is directed to certify to the Assessor of
\Vashington County that the City of Tigard has not added any new properties receiving
exemption of property taxes this year that did not receive exemption in the prior year.
SECTION 4: The Finance and Information Seivices Director is informing the Assessor of W 7ashington
County that the City of Tigard has not dropped exemption of property taxes for any
properties that received exemption in the prior year:
SECTION 5: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
