Gentlemen:
This is a Fire and Life Safety Plan Review and is based on j
the 1991 editions of the Uniform Fire Code (UFC) and those
sections of the Uniform Building Code (UBC) and Uniform
Mechanical Code (UMC) specifically referencing the fire �.
department, and other local ordinances and regulations.
The wall between the existing building ind new building
shall be a 1 hour fire rated wall with a 1 hour self-
closing door.
Storage and use of flammable and combustible ligaids shall
be in accordance with the Uniform Fire Code Section 708 .
All doors shown on the drawings mast be openable from the
inside for immediate exit at all times without the use of a
key, special knowledge, or effort. UBC Sec. 3304
There must be a floor or landing on each side of all doors.
The floor or landing must not be more than one-inch lower Er '
than the threshold of the doorway unless serving access for
the physically handicapped. UBC Sec. 3304 (h)
A fire extinguisher having a minimum rating of 2A10B:C must
be placed in an accessible location within plain view. UFC
Sec. 10. 301 (a)
After completion of this project call for an inspection.
Please provide 24 hour notification prior to anticipated
inspection time and date by calling 526-2469.
