Mark K. Stewart 12480 S.W._S_ummercrest Drive Tigard, Oregon 97223 (503) 639-4952 Mr. Bill Monahan Director•, Comm Div Tigard City Admin. P.O. Box 23397 Tigard, OR 97223 Dear Mr. Monahan, Julie suggested that I -4rite you a letter asking for yo1,r assistance. vv,+I, It iSAregret that I write this letter, asking you to bring action against a neighbor. The residence of Stan Reynolds, 12510 SW Su,mmercrest Drive, Tigard, needs to he brought into compliance with city reg0 ations. During the past two months, Mr. Reynolds has brought in a substantial amount of supplies, egv;pment and furniture, and stored them in his yerd. Evidently, he has moved his automotive business to smaller facilities, causing a shortage of space. This new junk is added onto an already abundant amount of old cars, appliances, crates, boards and so forth. This combination of old and new, is a real eyesore, unsafe and I presume lowering our property values. Another, and more pressing problem to us, is that we are trying to rent out our house, and prospective renters are nbt enamored with the prospect of living next to a junkyard. All cf the neighbors adjoining Mr. Reynolds' property share mur concern. Feeling the direct approach would be fair, all the neighbors visited about the probf4mp then one volunteered to talk with him. This retulted in the junk in the front yard being moved to the back. Not an acceptable solution. My property management representative even visited with him, and he made it clear he had no intention of moving the junk. Su, we feel we have exhausted our options, and must now come to you for help. P`iase invedtigate this situation and see that all th% junk is removed from his yard. We will be at the above address until January 11. After that, we will be on the road. We can be reached after Januar) 21-34- 25 Featherwood Ct. #33, Silver Spring, Maryland, 20904. If she can be of help to you, please contact our property management representative, Jane Murphy ak 626-7095. Thank you for your prompt attention to this .natter. Sincerly, _ / J
