Subject: Sanitary sewer, 9335 SW Mcdonald
On this date, a question was asked as to whether the above property would be
required to connect to the public sewer if it was divided into 3-5 lots ane
new home were built upon them.
The public sewer is 100 feet +/- from the property (across the street on the
south side of SW Mcdonald) . Greg Berry (Utilities Engineer.) reviewed the
situation and concluded that it would not be in the beet interest of the city
to have the public sewer extended from that point, for the following reasons:
• The line ends at• a pump station, it would be detrimental to the station to
open into the "wet well".
o The east side of the line is along a. very steep slope, it would be ner,t to
impossible to install a line Nlong there.
o The long range sewer plan is to have a line run down SW Mcdonald and abandon
the pump station, if a line is constructed from the pump station, it would
have to be at a proper depth to injure it could be connected to the future
line in SW Mcdonald. The city does not have the necessary information at this
time to know what level the future line in SW Mcdonald will be at.
The city will not allow extension from the pump station at this time.
