On August ';, 1987, the plans for this construction were approved. As a result of this additional information, we must withdraw our approval for, the modi- fication to the building. The info! nation received is that, the building, when first constructed, was approved with the installation of a 1-hour rated ceiling through- out the building, using U.L. design #L206. It is our understanding now that the construction documents were not followed and that only the ceiling of the corridor used the 1-hour rated tile system. Hunziker Street A fire and life safety plan review wa3 conducted on the above- captioned project for compliance with the 1985 editions of the Uniform Building Code (USC), Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC), and the Uniform Fire Code (UFC) as amended by Washington County Fire District's Ordinance 86-1. The plans are approved as submitted provided the following conditions are corrected: 1. Swing of Exit Doors: Where exit doors serve an occupant load of more than 50 in this case 88 + help) , they shall swing in the direction of egress. (USC Sec. 3304(b)) 2. Panic Hardware: Iu Group A Division 3 occupancies, as this is classified, having more than 50 people doors shell not be equipped with a latch or hardware unless it is panic hardware. There is an exception to situation which allows a Group A Division 3 to have a key-locking device in place of the panic hardware on the main doorway provided a sign is installed stating "THIS DO MUST ROR REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING BUSINESS IiOURS". Obstruction of Corridors: Doors in any position shall. not reduce the required width of a corridor by more than one-half or when in the fully opened position shall not reduce the width by more than seven inches.
