Therefore, this pool is just as good structurally at low temperatures as it is at normal 3" T-IICK COMPACTED SOIL ONLY t=• •x SAN[► (TYPICAL) operating temperature s. 4" MIN. THICK I,OMPACTED This fiber reinforced plastic is strong, tough and resilient material. Compared to gunite, this GRAVEL FOR CLAY material is stronger under tensile, compressive and flexural loadings. In addition, the material is much (ADOBE) SOIL ONLY tougher than gunite (toughness meaning energy absorption capacity up to rupture). A simple beam of ^� 6" t+ this material with a span of 5" and a depth of approximately 1''16" and a width of /t" experienced a 1�Z" �-- FIBERGLASS midspan deflection ur-der a midspan concentrated load without rupturing. This means that a pool made �- P00_ SHELL IO• Figure 2 of this material could experience large deflections under earthquake loading without rupturing.
