Yonahan, Pursuant, to the City of Tigards decision to issue a Home Occupation Permit to Mr. Alan Baumer and Mr. Ben Franklin (HOP 22-85), which was approved on 10/24/85 and which will be final on 11/4/8.5, we the undersigned do hereby agree, and do formally file this appeal. First, it should be pointed out that not all. of Mr. Baumers neighbors received the official written notice from the City of Tigard. The W.J. Tracy family which .lives directly across the street from Mr. Baumer, was notified by a neighbor, not the City of Tigard. We know of several other parties which did not receive the official notice as well. And all. are definitely/ affected by this decision. It is also difficult to understand why the City of Tigard would allow Nr. Baumer a business parking space, seeing that he already has three vehicles, one of which is always parked in the street. 'anally, we believe that the City of TigRrd has acted with little regard for the residents of our neighborhood. For although the permit does state that no custom- ers shall come to Fr. Baumers home, who's going to police it? It is not difficult to conceive of Mr. Baumer bringing a littlF extra work home on occasion. In fact we have witnessed him working on various vehicles (not his own) at different times during the past few months, and frankly we do not, wish to see our neighborhood turned into an automotive center. Based on the above information we the residents of S.W. Churchill Way, respect- fulLy ask that you rsirove the Home Occupation Permit issued to Mr. Baumer and Mr. Franklin. Excluding Yr. Baumers parents which live next door to him at; 7978 S.W. Churchill Way, the subsequent signatures represent a majority of the households now occu- pied in the neighborhood.
