RE: Possible Code Violations
The City of Tigard has received a complaint that an apparent violation of
Section 7.40.11':0 Open Storage of Junk exists on property under your control
at 15875 5W F7th _ _ in Tigard. Please be advised that it
is your reopmnsibility to maintain this property in a manner which is not
detrimental to you or your neighbors. Maintenance of a property in violation
of this ordinance may endanger the public health and safety. Your cooperation
in taking mmediace action to prevent a violation of the municipal code is
appreciated.
For your information, the applicat,le code provision reads as follows:
7.40.050 Open Storage of Junk. (a) A person commits the crime of open
storage of junk when as the owner, tenant, person in possession, or person
in charge of or having the care of any real property, he deposits, stores,
maintains or keepF on any real property within the city, outside a fully
enclosed storage facility, building or garbage receptacle, or any of the
following:
1. In perable, unusable, parti.l.ly dismanteled automobiles,
cars, trucks, trailer or other vehicular equipment or parts
thereof in a state of disrepair for more than ten days as
to any one automobile, car, truck, trailer or piece of
vehicular equipment;
2► Used or dismantled household appliances, furniture or parts
thereof, or d'ac.ards, garbage, debris, rubbish, junk, trash
or refuse, for more than five days.
(b) Nothing contained in any subsection of this section
shall be construed as permitting any activity
otherwise prescribed or regulated by other ordinances
or statutes applicable within the City.
(c) Open storage of ,junk is a Class C Misdemeanor.
(d) Each day's violation of this section shall constitute
a separate crime.
