Labt Friday , November 21 , 1997 , we discovered water running
from our drain into the street (81st ) although we were not
using any water . We called the Tigard Water District , and
they immediately sent a man to turn off our water meter .
On Saturday, November 22 , 1997 (for $160 . 00 - our. check
#10879) Anerican Leak Detection located water leaking from
a crack in :he plastic ronner. tor (from plastic to copper) .
We had the leak repaired . The pipe was approcimately 9"
from the top of the ground .
Today , November 25 , 1.997 , Mr . Darrel Watkins , Plumbing In-
spection 13upervisor for the City of Tigard informs us that
this water pipe should be from 18" to 24" from the top of
the ground and asked us to notify you to hying this up to
code .
We feel that the crack might have occurred some time apo
during a freeze as we have had high water. wills .
Please notify us 25 hours in advance as to when you will fix
the pipe , and we are asking you to take care of this promptly .
Please leave a detailed message if we are unable to answer
