Dear Ms . Haven,
This letter is in answer to your questions regarding connection of
your above property to the public s,znitary sewer system. The
connection permit fee is $335.00 (for properties with homes
constructed prior. to July 1 , 1170, which connect to the public
sewer within three years of availability. The date on which this
property had sewer available to it was April 25, 1990. ) If the home
is not connected within the three year ;period, the permit fee
increases to the standard fee in effect at time of connection (the
prP:.,ent standard fee for a single family home is $1935.00) .
In addition to the above fees, the property will be, subject to a
$3000.00 "in lieu of assessment fee" if the property owner does not
have proof of participation in the -onstructi.on of tha public
sewer.
The home may remain on the present private sewerage disposal
system, as long as tb- system functions properly. Upon failure of
the private system, the home will be required to confect to the
public system.
