RE Complaint of fill being placed without a Grading Permit.
Dear Mr. Crisman
On Friday, September 19, 1997, 1 investigated a complaint that fill was baing placed
without a grading permit.
i arrived at the site at approximately 9 30 a m. and spoke to the owner. I observed that
some dirt and gravel had been placed at the site. The owner explained that he had
removed approximately 17 truck loads of contaminated earth from the site. The area in
question had been a log bank and over the years bark, tree limbs and wood debris had
accumulated and been ground into the earth. The owner removed the contaminated
soil to an approved dump area and replaced part of it wiih clean soil and placed new
gravel where nis driveway is
The area in question does not slope towards the street, nor the neighbors property I
do not feel that a grading permit will be necessary due to the nature of the work and the
amount of soil placed
