The problem area was directly above the kitchen sink. The water closet was previc isly leaking, due to a perforated ring seal connection at the floor. The owner flushed the water closet severEA times and a,l leaks appeared to be fixed. Sewei wastes leaking onto a food preparatiot. area could potentially be a serious health hazard. Since thc! probl<m was fixed I would no longer be involved . The structural integrity of the joists appeared to be adequ,ite . The joists did shoe; signs of .rot from moisture. Plywood £1-oorin 1 was also damp arid rotted. This building is over 20 yeas.., old and priA-!bly does not meet current codes . Since it was built to standards at the time of construction , and no major hazard exists , I will not take further action at this time.
