Dear Mr. Geppert:
A fire and life safety plan review was conducted on the above captioned
project for compliance with the 1985 editions of the Uniform Building Code
(UBC) , Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC), and the Uniform Fire Code (UFC) , as
amended by Washington County Fire District No. 1's Ordinance 86-1,
Plans are conditionally approved subject to the following items:
This Plans Examiner is assuming that the dryvit noted several plfices in these
plans is only the outside synthetic stucco system and does not include any
foan; plastic insulation. If the foam insulation Is to be used as well as
the exterior system, then plastics shall conform with Uniform Building Code
Section 1712. Documentation of requirements as specified in this section
shall be sent ;.o both Building Department and Fire District for review and
approval.
1. Fire Extinguisher Requirements: Not less than one (l.) approved fire
extinguisher s) with rating of not Less than 2AlOB:C shall be provided
for each 1,500 square feet of floor area or fraction thereof, The
travel distance to an extinguisher trom any portion of the building
shall. not exceed 75 feet. (UFC Standard 10-1)
2. Approved Plans on Job Site: One set of approved plans bearing the
stamps of the Tigard Building Department and this office must be
maintained on the project site throughout all phases of construction
and must be made available to building and fire inspectors for
reference during required construction inspections. (UAC Sec. 303)

the project (space) , a certificate of occupancy or ether written
instrument of approval must be obtained from the City of Tigard
Building Department. (UBC Sec. 307)
