Subject : ELECTRICAL IN-PLANT INSPEC'T'IONS
The in-plant electrical inspections were perforined for the School
District in accordance with OAR 918-260-560 . The inspections and
review for conformity were conducted in accordance with the
National Elect:--ical Code 1993 , the State of Oregon Specialty Code,
and the provisions of ORS 479 .
There was discussion about the requirement for a roster of all
electricians employed by the School District showing name,
electrical license number, and type of electrical license . There
shall also be a file of records of all new electrical work
available for the electrical inspector.
The licensing re-„icement and schooling for the employees is
somewhat confusing a+ this time until the Building Codes Division
compieteo the new auministrative rules on this type of license .
The inspection, walk-through, provided the following notes :
C.F. Tigard Elementary
1 . Panel H, by staff room, was blocked and does not have legend
(panel schedule) .
2 . Kitchen area has extension cords being used in violation of
NEC 400-8 and 400-9 .
3 . Kitchen area has open fluorescent tubers that need sleaves.
Administration Building
4 . Low voltage cables on floor need physical protection.
5 . Personnel office panel. cover has gap between wall and panel .
6 . Panel legends (schedule) nct complete .

5 . Knock-outs and box covers missinq in Mechanical Room, upstairs
of Gym.
6 . Unlicensed janitor replacing lighting ballast .
Fowler Middle School
1 . Open .3-Box in upstairs of Mechanical. Room.
2 . Woodshop needs blow down.
3 . Mechanical Room needs 3-way switch.
4 . The woodshop classrooms and maintenance shops throughout the
district need a regularly scheduled blow down and cleaning
(every 6 months) .
