From our limited observation, the structure supporting the rooftop heat, pump unit (denoted HP-1 on the mechanical drawings) appears to be adequate, with the exception of the horizontal truss members directly below the unit. These should be reinforced with an additional 2 x 4, as detailed in the attached sketch. A 125 lb, air handler (denoted AH-1 on the mechanical drawings ) is also supported inside the truss frame. The unit sits on a pair of 2 x 4's which, in turn, rest on two other 2 x 4's with one end nailed to the truss and the other resting on the glu- lam b?am. The members and connections supporting these unfits appeared to be adequate.
