Plans for this project have been reviewed for compliance with applicable
codes and are conditionally approved. A condition of approval is that the
restaurant be posted with a sign reading "Maximum Number of Occupants 49".
This requirement is made because the occupant load for the public space in
the restaurant can be computed as 60 people. With an occupancy of 50 cr
more an additional exit is required. The exit from the kitchen cannot be
counted, as the Building Code does not allow exits from a public space to
pass through a kitchen.
We will need additional information relating to tha kitchen equipment so
we may determine the adequacy of the exhaust hood system and related items
such as the automatic fire extinguishing system for the hood. Plans for
any changes or additions to the mechanical system which provides heating
and cooling to the tenant space will also he required. Separate permits
are required for any plumb'ng or mechanical work.
A copy of the required permit fees in enclof3ed. Please note that there 13
a charge for additional sewer connections. You may get the building permit
