We have been unable to derive ar,y satisfaction or solutions to these problems .from you salesman, Mr. Gene Vanderzanden. I i Columbia Custom Homes is building my home in the Viewmont development in Tigard, Oregon. Construction was started August 1973, the home is now nearing completion, but the problem of proper excavation and drainage of our lot has not been remedied to his date. It is my cr7tention and the opinion of ,your landscaping company, that improper excavation and drainage is present on our lot. Your building supervisor 01r. Howard Bingham also agreed with n;v contention that there is a. drainage prablem with my lot. Beside the problem of improper drainage there is a loss of utility of the lot on the ezist side of the home. I have requested on many occasion that some form of retainer wall be placed between my property and that of Mr. Gerald Eaters, to help correct .he problems of raid slides, errosion and flooding. There has been on response to these requests. It is my opinion that Columbia Custom Homes has a ethical and legal obligation to see that a satisfactory structure be constructed to prevent f I i cont. page 2. the loss of utiliy of my lot and to correct the existing drainage and errosion problems. It is also my opinion. that Columbia Custom Homes, should assume the financial obligation to correct this situation~ since the improper excavation of the lot crated these problems.
