Presthus RE: STORAGE RACKS @ TIGARD GENSCO WAREHOUSE At your request, we have verified the field installation of the storage racks that WDY, Inc. Associate analyzed for this facility in 1995. We were told that the City had not received cal-ulations for the racks. The Cite of Tigard asked for the calculations be submitted along with a Michael Comte/ letter stating that the racks were installed per plans. Wade W, Younie, P.E., of this office observed the installation of the racks on December 2, 1997. Only visual observations were done at this time. CONCLUSIONS 1. The racks installed per the 1995 analysis comply with the design and were installed according to the approved shop drawings. 2. Since the 1995 installation, additional racks have been installed, but the facility manager was given the rack load configuration and installation requirements for the new rack that were previously analyzed. It was reported later that these rack w,ire brought into compliance. 3. A cantilever rack was also observed during the site visit. The loading and rack design was obtained.
