This letter summarizes our observations and conclusions regarding our geotechnical
engineering construction monitoring services for the Trend Construction Project at 72nd Avenue
and Tech Center Drive in Tigard, Oregon. GeoEngineers prepared a geotechnical engineering
report for the site dated August 5, 11194. Our construction monitoring services were a
continuation of our involvement with the project.
Construction of the project occurred through the summer and fall of 1994. A representative
from GeoEngineers observed sut+;rade preparation after stripping, footing subgrades, floor slab
subgrades, and structural fill placement and compaction. We also observed proofrolling of
subgrades and conducted density testing. Our observations are documented in our daily field
reports, copies of which are attached. Based on our observations and field test data, the footing
subgrades, floor slab subgrades, and structural fill were completed in accordance with the
recommendations provided in our August 5, 1994 report for this site.
GeoEngineers' involvement w4h this project was limited to observation of activities related
to geotechnical engineering. Our involvement did not include superviJon or direction of the
actual work of the contractor, the contractor's employees, or agents.
