According to the bu4lding inspector , the beam deflection is about 3/8" . The allowable live load deflection! is 23 x 12/360 = .76" . The capacity of the beam is about 900 lbs per lineal foot . The actual load is I x 55 = 495 lbs per lineal foot . Thereirore there is plenty of load capacity left . It is possiblo that the beam already had a slight bend in it .
