Dear Brad.
This letter is to confirm and summarize the results of our meeii�.g of December 5, 1995, regarding the
statue of the exiting system un the se•ienth floor at Lincr�!n V. ,;s was indicated by Jim Jagria, the Tigard
Flans Examiner at the time t,-le original permit for the build-out of this floor, was issued, the corridor was
allowed to be non-rated subject to several ccoditions. It was also discovered that the corridor had
apparently not be required to interconnect the two stairways, which it should have been. The followinq
will summarize and document the status of the exiting system,
1) The corridor shall inl,:rconnect the mo stairways (may pass through the open elevator lobby) and
is allowed to be non-rated.
,e) The corridor and elevator lobby shall he provided with ceiling mounted snicke detectors. -i he
entire ceiling plenum is provided with smoke detectors. The detectors in the lobby shall activate
the exhaust fans in the elevator shaft and shall enunciate the alarms on the seventh floor. The
detectors in the plenum and at the corridor ceiling shall annunciate the alarms an the seventh
floor.
The plenums on all floors of the building are provided with smoke detectors which activate alarms
on the respe--tive floor. The elevato, bbbies throughout the bui!ding have smoke detector, which
activate the exhaust fans in the elevatcr shaft and the alarms on the respective floor The elevator
shaft has a smoke detector at the top wnich activates the exhaust fans in the elevator shaft.
,according to Jnr. ,laqua, there are other special construction temp in place on the first and second floors
which we need to re-visit for the purpose of clai ifying the documentation in the records for the building.
