Ash Tigard, Oregon 97223 Re: Metro Paving, Inc, 1 year Maintenance Bond Dear Bob: As I recently discussed with you over the phone, we need a letter from your office advising thr..'. work has been ompl.eted, the conwtion date (the bond should run one year from the ccrpletion date) and that is just about it. Mr. Daymon Weaver, the president of Metro Paving, Inc. , has given me this description of the work. It was a dig out and replace approximately ,05 lineal feet of ditc:, resulting from a diesel fuel spill off of S.E. 121st. This job was dcne for Pacific Claims. I do hone this is a sufficient description as that is all I have. I would appreciate your prmpt attention to this as Mr. Weaver apparently has some $3,000. tied up under a deposit with your office until such time as the bond is received. Please forward this letter to my attention. I do appreciate your help and the cooperation you've given me on this. Thank you. Drive stating uiat one of your fuel trucks, #320, had spilled stove oil on the street. By the time 1 got out there, your crew had spread sand over most of the spill area. They stated that they would "clean up" before leaving. On June 23, 1982, I received another call from a resident that you had not cleaned up the sand that you had placed on the spill. I called your office and they stated that they could not get it done that day, but would do it the next. In making a field check on June 24, 1982, I found that the "AC" asphalt was al- ready starting to deteriorate where the spill had occurred. I had our road maintenance foreman check it and he stated that the area of the spill should be replaced and any rock under the "AC" which had been contaminated should also be .removed. `therefore, please consider this as official notice from the City of Tigard to pro- ceed to have the work done as soon as possible.
