Dear Owner/Occupant :
This letter is to inform you that the entryway to your home has five continuous. steps,
and according to Section 3306 j ofd the 1985 Uniform Building Code, any continuous steps
exceeding three risers shall have at least one handrail.
I had previously requested the builder., Jay Miller, to install one handrail as required �
by code. He ststed that his foreman was told by %he present owner that Dale, the foreman
would not be allowed on the above property. Failure to complete the installation of
the minimum handrail requirements could result in serious injury to anyone using thea
steps. It is the policy of the city of Tigard to onfurce all pom-tions of the Uniform
Building Code, xegarless of personal preferences one may have to them. We would apprec-
iate your coopeiration in this matter so no further action will be necessary.
