Site Visit Requested By: Tom (polygon) Met With (on site): Tom (polygon), onsite crews Purpose: ; Evaluate lot 96 Outstanding Issues: FR 51 (01/14/16) Lot 122 to 123 retaining wall FR -1 36 (9/14) Low density pavement j FR -145 (1 1 /15) low compaction granular fill / soft subgrade Lot 93 *RESOLVED* Upon arrival, I met with Tom and was directed to the area noted on attached site plan where I observed two prepared footing subgrades. Tom informed me that lower footing and stem wall had been designed and was being constructed as a retaining wall due to the steep cut near the edge of the upper footing. I was informed the crew planned to backfill the retaining wall with crushed rock. We understand the upper footing is below a 1 horizontal to 1 vertical (1 h:1 v) projection from the base of the retaining wall below and the upper footing is approximately 4 feet higher than the top of the footing for the lower retaining wall. The footings can be constructed as planned provided the upper footing is outside a 1 h:l v projection from the lower wall and crushed rock backfill is compacted as recommended for structural fill behind the retaining wall. Based on our observation, it is our opinion that Lot 96 observed today is being prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
