Plans (33) ., ODESIGNY FIELD REPORT Page 1 of1 GDI Project: Polygon-123-03 Prepared By: Dan Boileau Project Name: West River Terrace Date: 9/22/16 Location: Roy Rogers and SW Jean Louise Rd Report#: 118 Arrival: 1015/1715 Departure: 1145/1800 Weather: Showers, 60's Permit#: TBA Site Visit Requested By: Mike and Tom (Polygon) Met With (on site): Earthworks crew rep., Tom .o _ (via phone call) Purpose: Evaluate Subgrade for Lots 53, 54, 60, 85 and 86 Outstanding Issues: FR 16& 17(1 0/21 & 1 0/22)Areas of fill with low density and high moisture contents in lots 1-9 Lots 53, 54 and 60-Subgrade Upon arrival, I observed lot 53 still contained soil stockpile, and I was unable to observe subgrade. I observed crews had excavated Lots 53 and 54 to planned subgrade elevation and placed forms and rebar prior to my arrival. Subgrade consisted of brown silt(ML)trace sand. Resistance to penetration indicates generally stiff to very-stiff subgrade conditions excluding one area of footing running east-west, west of garage door footing (see site plan) where approx. 4"of loose material was observed over subgrade. We recommend removal of loose material prior to footing pour. Mike (Polygon) indicates material will be removed prior to footing pour. I also observed loose material in conduit excavation beneath footing for garage wall mounted fuse box. Mike indicates loose material within excavation will be removed prior to footing pour. Lots 85 and 86 Upon arrival, I observed crews had excavated Lots 85 and 86 to planned subgrade elevation and were in the process of covering subgrade with 1"-2"of%"-0 crushed rock as a protectant against subgrade disturbance in anticipated wet weather. I observed rock was loosely placed, we recommend light compaction of rock until well keyed and firm under foot. Subgrade consisted of brown silt (ML)trace sand. Resistance to penetration indicates stiff to very-stiff subgrade conditions. Based on observations, the subgrades observed today and indicated on the attached site plan are being prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
