BRINGS NATURE IN POLYGAL TEN YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
POLYGAL INC. WARRANTS, for a period of 10 years from the date of original
purchase, Polygal (UV Protected) Sheets, which are at least 6mm thick (hereinafter: the
"Product") so that the Product will not undergo a loss in light transmission in excess of 6
percent in comparison with the original value when tested in accordance with ASTM-D-
1003-95; and/or will not undergo a change in yellowness index in excess of 10 delta in
comparison with the original value when tested in accordance with ASTM E-313-73 (93),
and/or will not lose its impact strength in the event of hail alone,as described below.
Loss of"Impact strength in the event of hail" shall be determined by an impact test
according to ASTM-D-5628-95 geometry FE(tip diameter 20mm). (In this test, failure is
determined when the upper wall of the sheet is penetrated by the tip. The sheet does not
reach the required standard if the Mean Failure Energy obtained in the test is less than
0.831 Joul. This energy is equal to the energy generated by a 20mm diameter ice ball at a
speed of 21 m/s.)
If Polygal concludes that the Product does not perform as stated during the Warranty
period, POLYGAL shall, at its discretion, supply replacement sheets, or refund the
purchase price thereof. In any event, POLYGAL shall have no liability whatsoever for
the cost of removal or defective sheets or the installation of replacement sheets, or be
liable for consequential or other loss, damage, misuse, improper storage, neglect or
misapplication of the product, or the costs other than those specifically expressed herein.
The warranties herein are made to the initial purchaser and are personal to him and no
warranty of any kind, whether expressed or implied, shall pass through the initial
purchaser to another person or shall, in any event extend the warranties specifically
expressed herein.
Conditions:
This warranty applies only to POLYGAL Sheets which are treated, installed, cleaned and
maintained according to manufacturer's recommendations. This warranty applies only to
POLYGAL Sheets with a minimum thickness of 6mm.
It is important to note that the Product is protected on one side with a special UV
radiation protective layer. This protected side must be installed on the exterior side of the
installation for this warranty to be in effect.
No warranties are extended to the abrasion resistance characteristics of this product. No
warranties are extended to the yellowing or loss of light transmission caused by dirt,
scratches,breakage,backward radiation or other damage.
