The square footage that will be involved in the project is 266 square feet total ( . 1 ' . x

There will be a wall constructed across the rear portion of my existing garage approximately 14'
across. I will frame out this wall, as well as three other additional walls. I will purchase all the
components for the bathroom and will install those myself(toilet, one piece shower stall,
sink/vanity, vanity light, fan unit). I will also purchase and install three other overhead lights
(closet, bedroom and new hallway). All switches and electric receptacles will be installed by
PDX Electric per code. Also, they will be installing a 1500 watt cadet heater, controlled by a
wall thermostat,per code as well.
A reputable plumbing contractor will complete the necessary plumbing/venting, etc.,per code.
There will be a window installed(probably ` ') in the rear wall of the unit near the existing
back door and new hallway.
Also, an electric water heater will be installed in the garage and a barrier post will be installed
(all per code). This will provide hot water for the new bathroom only.
The floor in the bathroom will be vinyl and the floor in the bedroom and closet will be carpeted.
If the concrete floor is not using R15 Slab insulation, it will be painted with a waterproof
coating/paint before installation of the vinyl and carpeting.
Approved plans
This permit does not authorize the violation of any shall be on job site
rights of holders of private easements. The ap-
plicant is urged to contact any such parties and
secure thier approval before commencing work.
