Subject: Soil Inspection of Foundation Bearing Surfaces
Dear Michael:
In accordance with your authorization, we visited the above referenced site on June 20, 2016 to observe the existing
foundation subgrade conditions. We have reviewed the site plan and drawings for the structure as submitted for the
permit.
The site preparation work consisted of stripping of vegetation,topsoil,removal of roots,organic matter and other
unsuitable soil and debris within the building footprint.The grading work involved removal of surficial soil within the
building pad and was performed in general conformance with project requirements and current standard of the
practice.
Based on our observations and soil probing with a'/2"steel rod it is our opinion that exposed native soil consisting of
grey-to yellowish-brown stiff,sandy silt with occasional rock fragments is suitable for foundation support.
