p Foundation Subgrade
Outstanding Issues: FR-110 Soft subgrade, Lot 50
Upon arrival, I observed the subgrades of Lot 49 and 50 to be at approximately finished grade adjacent to SW 154th
Ave. The exposed subgrade appeared to consist of brown silt/clay with gravel and cobbles. I used a%2" diameter
steel foundation rod to probe the subgrade exposed subgrade and based on penetrations the subgrade appeared
generally stiff to very stiff. I observed an approx. 45' by 3' strip on lot 50 that probed soft to medium stiff.Jason
informed me crews will over-excavate 12"and backfill with crushed rock.Jason indicated he will re-schedule and
have GeoDesign evaluate over-excavated area.
Based on our observations, it is our opinion the subgrade of Lot 49 and 50 subgrade, with the exception of the soft
spot mentioned above, has been prepared in general accordance with project specifications and our geotechnical
recommendations.
