Report 1-73' O 54kakct- G EODESIGNzu FIELD REPORT Page 1 of GDI Project: Polygon-130-05 Prepared By: Daniel Stai Project Name: River Terrace Northwest Date: June 3, 2016 Location: Scholls Ferryr ryRoad and Roy Rogers Report#: 109 Arrival: 1545 Departure: 1620 Weather: Sunny, 80's-90's Permit#: TBA Site Visit Requested By: Mike (Polygon) Met With (on site): Mike, Richard (Strauss) Purpose: Evaluate Swim Center Footing Subgrade Outstanding Issues: FR25A(11/11) Plug Tract B Stormwater Pond Sinkhole FR50(1/13/16) Lot 122-125 retaining wall failed density test FR 51 (01/14/16) Lot 122 to 123 retaining wall failed density test, lot 103 retaining wall backfill too dry. Upon arrival, I observed that Strauss had excavated swim center footings. Subgrade appeared to consist of brown silt; minor sand. I used a Y2"diameter steel 'T'probe to evaluate relative consistency of footing subgrade. Subgrade generally appeared stiff to very stiff based on resistance to penetration of the probe. I observed what appeared to be fill in a section;oof footing subgrade in the southeast corner. Soil appeared to be dark brown silt; minor gravel and tracel6rgank;which consisted of sticks and pockets of hay. I also observed that the soil also had an "organic"odor. I asked Richard to pot hole into the soil. Dark brown silt only extended down approximately 6 to 8 inches in the area. I asked Richard to remove the soil. I recommended that over excavated area be backfilled with appropriately compacted granular fill. — w l`;c 1— 1.'"" cots..p1e--a J Based on our observations, it is our opinion that swim center footing subgrade observed today has been prepared in general accordance with project requirements and our geotechnical recommendations. , 14 ( lel r Ioof4,.i5 eow1l. bt eMbcd 4, e y t V-ifx_r1a\ c-F; i 1 q ,,,, l G f tti S l.t d fv G k t k. 10I PncC o 1 i S v.‘")I.-c,`-1 42 C.0". .
