RESOLUTION NO. 16- �/
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CITY'S ELECTION TO RECEIVE STATE REVENUE
SHARING.
WHEREAS, State Revenue Sharing Law, ORS 221.770, requires cities to annually pass an ordinance or
resolution requesting state revenue sharing money;and
WHEREAS, the law mandates public hearings be held by the city and that certification of these hearings is
required;and
WHEREAS,a public hearing was held on May 9,2016 at Budget Committee to receive State Revenue Sharing;
and
WHEREAS,in order to receive state revenue sharing in FY 2016-2017, the city must have levied property taxes
the preceding year;and
WHEREAS,the city did levy property taxes in FY 2015-2016.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Pursuant to ORS 221.770, the city hereby elects to receive state revenue sharing for the fiscal
year 2016-2017.
SECTION 2: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
PASSED: This !44 "1'-- day of 2016.
