Dear Mr. Nelson:
Please find attached, revised drawings addressing the building code requirement for 1 hour rated
corridors. We have extended the 1 hour fire rating through the reception/entry area. The reception area
walls extend to the bottom of the roof decking. Doors in the reception area are revised to 20 minute
rating with closers and smoke seals. Coiling fire shutters are added to three windows in the reception
area. Also smoke dampers have been added to HVAC ductwork that extends through the fire-rated
corridor walls.
Please also note that the LED light fixtures originally specified have been revised to fluorescent fixtures in
order to save on construction cost. Revised electrical drawings and ComCheck forms reflecting this
change are attached.
