This memorandum will confirm that substantial structural construction is
complete on the above project and to the best of our knowledge as Structural Engineer of
Record, has been accomplished in accordance with our design intent and in compliance
with the contract documents of the above permit.
Special Inspection of an anchor install was provided by James Pierson, Inc. via
phone and photos in accord with the permit requirements of the project. The chimney
anchors were installed to a torque that is equivalent to 50 kips of capacity or 6x the
design load requirement and the sunroom anchors installed to an equivalent load of 16
kips or 6x the design load. As such, no anchor testing was done. There are no
outstanding issues in regard to tests or inspections reported therein or know by us to exist.
Based upon this information and upon our knowledge of the foundation work
completed, we believe that the construction delineated by the above noted permit is
satisfactorily completed, and we recommend that the permit be closed out in accord with
the City of Tigard procedures.
