I provided recommendations to the earthwork subcontractor to excavate to stiff, native subgrade and place approximately 4 to 6 inches of 4"-0 crushed aggregate. A layer of%"-0 crushed aggregate will be placed over the 4"-0. Based on my observations, foundation subgrade has been adequately prepared and is suitable for further construction.
