State Highway Department approved o� alternate #2
as shown on Carl Buttke's traffic analysis presented
at the July 2, 1974, meeting of the Planning Commissiona `
Mro Chillis reviewed alternate #2 as presented to
the Planning Commission on revised site plans receiv�ed
by the City July 15, 1974, statirag that the egress
from the drive-in bank facility would have a stop
sign causing traffic exiting from the bank to stop
and a "No Le�t Turn�� sign that would prevent traffic
exiting from the drive-in bank facility from turning
� left into Pacific Highwaya Mro Chillis also stated
that the egress from the drive-in bank facility
could hand�e up to 12 stacked carso �

2a Mickelson asked if the Oregon State Highway Depte �
approved the new entrance and the location oy left �
turn signo Chillis stated that the bank must make
application for final approval, but in his pre- �
liminar.y talks with the Oregon State Highway Dept, i;

3a Whittaker asked M.ro Buttke if he had views on the �

Mro Buttke also stated that alternate #2 is trying

Fred Meyer peak traffic occurred at different timeso
Mro Buttke stated bank peak periods actually only
accurred during two hours of the week and usually
on a Friday afternoon and stated that the bank would
be closed on weekends when the shopping center was
enjoying its peak t.raffic loadsa
