CITY OF TIGARD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
Minutes of Meeting October 21, 1965
Present: President E. C. Phillips, Vice President Ben Brazauski,
J. H. Schulte, J. N. Aitkin, John Perry, Everett
Severson, Clarence Nicoli, L. A. Bissett and
Councilman C. E. Klock, Sr.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by President
Phillips. The minutes of the September 30, 1965, meeting
were read, and President Phillips asked for corrections,
additions or omissions. None being offered the minutes were
then approved as read.
Mr. Van Dolah and Mr. Howard Gass presented a plan for a
proposed 30-unit Apartment Building which is to be erected
on S.W. Scoffins Street. This is to be a two story building
with 15-units up and 15-units down, and there is 32,000 square
feet of area, but the Planning and Zoning Ordinance requires
36,000 square feet for a 30-unit building.
There is some question as to whether the City ever
accepted the 20 foot strip for public use. Mr. Janoe deeded
this 20 foot strip to the City in September 1963. Mr. Van
Dolah will check on this matter before the next meeting.
The Planning and Zoning members and Attorney Anderson dis-
cussed the proposed zone change on the Keesling property.
It was decided that Mr. Phillips will try to obtain the
20 foot dedication from the property owners near the Keesling
property.
The Commission discussed the new Zoning Ordinance and made
a few minor changes.
The next special meeting will be held November 16, 1965, and
the regular meeting will be held November 18, 1965.
Adjournment taken at 10 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
