The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by.Prevident
Phillips. The minutes of the February 18, 1963, . 11g
were read. Upon call for corrections, it was requesta
the word "manual" be changed to "map". The minutes of the
April 15, 1965, meeting were then read. Upon call for
corrections, it was requested that we insert "in.the newly
annexed area" on the second page, last paragraph, first
sentence. With these corrections the minutes were ordered
approved as read.
President Phillips suggested that we add a resolution to
the minutes to maintain the present Washington County Zoning
in the annexed area under Ordinance 65-5(Pacific Highway
Annexation) until such time as it is deemed advisable to
change.

seconded by Mx. Schulte. Upon call for vote motion was
unanimously approved, majority nenbore being present.
President Phillips: We have a zone change on the Maple
Shop, owned by Mx. R. R. Ripley, 14170 S.W. Pacific Highway,
Tigard, Oregon, for a zone change from A-2 (Multiple Dwell-
ing) to C-3 (Retail Commercial.) President Phillips asked
if there were any objections from the Commission.
Aitking I move that we recommend to the City Council
a zone change from A-2 (Multiple Dwelling) to 0-3 (Retail
Commercial), 14170 S.W. Pacific Highway. -Motion seconded
by Mr. Nicoll.. Upon call for vote motion was unanimously
approved, majority mothers being present.
President Phillips: Our next zone change is requested by
Mr. Vance too and Ralph Peters, S.W. Walnut Street, Tigard,
Oregon. The requested sons change is from A-2 (MulUlila
Dwelling) to 04 (General Commercial) . Preeident Philllps
asked if there were any objections from the Commission.

M . Putledge (audience) and the Commission discussed a pro-•
pos:rit zone change from C•-2 (General Commercial) to
(Light Mar,ifaaturirig) on the property located at 12511 S.W.
Mein. Street. Mr. Rutledge has rented this property, and
the shop is to be used for Die Manufacturing, The Commission
f',-:•7.s that since there is a plan to redevelop Main Street
that this zone change might not be advisable at this time.
However. Mr. Bi,ssett suggested that perhaps we she '^e-1 con-
tact the people in this area and get their opinic° . Hr.

President Phillips We have two other proposed zone changes.
Mrs, i.'i rginia Stone has requested a zone change on a lot
r:c t to Freleon Heights. The change is from R-7;Residential)
to A-2 (Multiple Dwelling) . Mr. Stan Adkins who represents
Mrs, Ruby Prison, 13015 S.W.Pacific Highway, Tigard, Oregon,
has 3.ariuested a zone change from A2 (Multiple Dwelling) to

Mr. Perry2 I move that we spend $50.00 to have the Planning
and Zoning book typed. Motion seconded by Mr. Aitkin. Upon
call for vote motion was unanimously approved, majority
members being present.
President Phil:.ips2 T would like to inform the Commission
of the terms of our members. Mr. Aitkin replaces Mr. A.
Mason, for a four year term from 1-2565 to 1-25-69. Mr.
John Perry replaces Mr. L. D. c%nor' For a two year term
from 7-2-63 to 7,-2-65. Mr. E. C. Phillips' term is from
7-2-63 to -2-65. Mr. Brazauski's term is from 7-2-63 to
7-2-66. Mr. Everett Severson's term is from 7-2-63 to
7-2-66 and he replaces Mr. C. Lamb. Mr. J. Schulte°s term
is from 7-2-63 to 7-2-67. Mt. C. .i1'icoli replaces rR :. A. Pietila
for a four year term from 7-2-63 to 7-2-67.
Mr. Bissett discussed the possibility of coordinating the
fire zone with the land use zone. Mr. Klock, Mr. 'Perry
and Mr. Bissett will meet with the Tualatin tire Chief to zi
discuss the fire zoning for Tigard. Mr. Bissett also suggested
that the Commission make recommendations to the City-County
Joint Planning for their Patterns of Development Program.
