The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M, by
President Phillips. Rec{usst was made for readinq o£ the
minutes of the meeting of Januazy 16, 1964. The Minutes �
were read and upon call for corrections or ommissions, none �
being offered, the Minutes were ordered to stand approvecl as ;
read.

President Phillips: Next on the agenda; we have a 7one
Change £or Wayne and Stan Adkins. This was referred to the
Council and a 50 foot right-of-way for a street was upheld. �
In the meantime, there has been some changes by� Wayne and
Stan Adkins and there has been a re-application filed. I
will read it to you. (Reading from the new zone change !
applicatinn.)
There fol.lowed a few moments of ciiscus3ion relative to the
zone change, after which I�residerit Phillips suagestecl a
� motion that a Zone Change fram R-5 to A-2 be given to the
Southwest Investment Company, leqal descr.iption on map 2 S 12AC,
l�ts 1800 and 1900, £or a two story frame apartment buildina,
assuming th�t a 40 foot dedicated right-of-way be given to the
public, the street to be paved 32 teet with 4 £oot sidewalks
on each side and with no parking.
President Phillips: Now would someone Iike to make a motion ,'
to that ef£ect, or like to make a motion diff.erent from that? �
J. H. Schulte: T would like to make that as a motion. Motion �
seconded by B. Arazauski. Upon call for vote the motion was �
approved by ro11 call of inembers present; B. Brazausk3., AYE; ;
J. H. Schulte, AYE; L. D. Good, AYE and E. C. Phillips, AYF.
President Phillipse If you have pr.oblems in qetti.nq this
de�icated rigltt-of.-way, you in turn can come back. to the Ci.ty;
we will make our recommendation to the Council.

The matter of. Thomas G. Eilliott's application .f.nr buildi,ng �
permit was dispospd of. a£ter President Phillips rea�3 the letter �
received from Attorney Glen Walker.
President Phillips: Next on the agenda is Van Lee's plat.
There is no zone change involved. (Af.ter some discussion
� on this matter, President Phillips stated) we are aoina to ,
recommend a tentative pr.eliminary plat appro�va]. of the ;
deaignated area. !�

B. Brazauski: I make a motion we approve this preliminary �
plat and that Watkins be carried through and the cul-de-sac a
be named Watkins Court. Motion seconded by L. D. Good. E
Upon call for vote the motion was approved by majority vote. �;

President Phillips: This wi11 come up before the City �
Council this coming Monday night, February 24. �

� With reference to Jack Godwin's drawing, we will hold "
this and da.scuss it later.

In connection with our annexation plans, perhaps Mayor }
�9oodard can give us the sewer cost figures. �

Mayor Woodard: 7 have been asked what would be the cost per �'
foot for the sew�er extension from the Methodist Church to �
McDonald Street; that would be $7.75 per foot, incoudincy the (,
right-of-way. On the Ash Street sewer it was about $4.00 f
per foot. G

Mayor Woodard then fliscussed the road work proposed to b� �
accomplished on Ash Street atating the County is going to
take ca-re of the street £rom Frewing to MeDonald and the �
City will have from Frewing across the creek. f
President Phillips: We were planning or. having a meetina with �i

the property owners in the annexation area abo�zt the last wee�k
in March and in turn we would get out letters to each one o£
the individual property owners and maps showing the p•roposed
sewer lines"i Do any of the Commiasion members have anything �
to say on this? ;,
Next on the agenda; or are there any questions on the F.
annexation; if not we will get into our subdivision ordinance,
starting with page 14, section 26.
The reading of the subdivision ordinance was completed. Several
sections are still open for aiscussion. �;
