CITY OF TIGARD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
i
MTNUTES OF MEETTNG J'ANCJARY 16 19$4. I
Present; President E. C. Philli.ps; Vice-President B. Brazauski;
A. Mason; L. D. Good and A. Pieti.la. Also presenty ,
Mayor E. A. Woodard and City Attorney £. A. Anderson.
Absent: J. H. Schulte and C. R. Lamb,
i
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. by
President Phillips and request made for reading of the minu'tes
of the meeting of December 19, 1963. The Minutes were read
and upon cal.l for carrections or ommissions, none ?eing of£ered,
the Minutes were ordered to stand approved as read.
President Phillips: There is a matter to be discussed, under
the lniform BLtilding Code, as to moving of apartment units within
the City. (Discussion fallowed participated in by Members of
the Commission.)
President Phillips: Before we start on annexations, we have some
maps finished and the rest we hope to have within the next couple
weeks, (Refering to maps on the wall.) The maps may have to be
revised in the next six mozzths. _
One ther thing, the City Council at las Monday night's
meeting, upheld our decision on the 50 f.00t right-of-way. I woald
like to go back to our Ordinance again where it sa,ys as to access;
on page 30 paragraph (37.1 (reading) "All lots in this district
sha11 abut a public street or shall have such other access held
suitable by the City Council". I feel we should pin this 50 £eet
down and put it in our Oxdinance. I would likE co have some
discussion.
Attorney Anderson: You want to amend the Pla.nniilg Code to !
appiy it. The next step is to do ae the Ordinance s,ys with
respect to amending it.
Presideni: Phillips read from page 99 of the Zoning Ordinance with
respect o Text Change and suggested he wnuld like to set up s
Committee to study this between now and our nExt meeting and
named B. Brazauski, Chairman and Messrs Klock and Good to serve
with Mr. Brazauski.
Pzeaident Phillips: On this 50 foot access; I think before we
present it and ask for a resolution of the Planning Commission
that since this no only applies to A-2 but also to other zones !
within our City Ordinance; I think before the next meeting I
will prepare a resolution for presenting to the Commiasion,
before we get into a discussion, of it.
Preaident Phillips: Do our visitors have anything to bring
r before the Commiasion.
On Vance Lee's plat, the zone is to remain R-5. Mr.
Lee has indicated he would like to ave it ready to go this
pring. Since there is going to be no zone change and every-
thing will remain R-5, we wi11 give this to our Planner and
have him check this out. We will get Larry to check it out
and get approval of the plat.
