CITY OF TIGARD PLANNING AND ZONING CONA�fISSION
MINUTES_OF MEETING, AUGUST 29, 1963_

President Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:l�.0 P.M.
President Phillips: This is a special meeti.ng nf the City of
Tigard Planning and Zoning Commission called for the purpose
of considering zone changes for Albertson�s, Inc.; also 5tan
Adkins at 9350 5. W. Tigard Street and O..R. Randall at 8975
S. W. Burnham. We will dispense raith the reading af the Minutes
and put it on the agenda for the September 19th meeting.
First on the agenda we will have the zon2 change for
Albertson�s, Inc. Notification has been sent to those in the
vicinity of 150 feet of the surrounding property. First, do we
have any comments from the floorl
� Mr. Graham Young who occupies premises within the
limitations of distance discussed some slight ob�jections he had
all of which were satisfactorii,y resolved with Larry Klang
representing Albertson�s.
President PhilZips: Since there are no other comments on
Albertson�s, does the Commission wish to make a recommendation
on the zone change. According to the zoning map it is all
surrounded by commercial area and we have in a little inset one
A-2 and two R-S►s and any zone change would be considered with
our planning and Zoning. There will be one change and that is

be left open. I think it is in order right now that we have a
motion from the Com,mission for approval of the zone change. Do
I hear a motion?
B. Brazauski: I will make the motion to change this area to
C-2. Motion seconded by C. R. Lamb. Upon call for vote the
motion was unanimously approved.
President Phillips: I will write a letter of reeommendation
to the City Council on this zone change. (Mr. Klang of Aibert-
son�s requested three copies of the Zone Change Ordinance.)
President Phillips: Next we have the zone change for Stan
Adkins for 9350 S. W. Tigard Street, which is Tax Lot 1900;
I will pass around the map showing this Tax Lot to give the
members an idea where it is located. It is actually right
�ack here (pointing toward the viaduct) underneath the viaduct.
Do we have any comments from any of our visitors on this 2one
changel (No response) I am ready to entertain a motion.
A. Mason: I make the motion thaic we accept this zone change
to A-2. Motion seconded by .P�. Pietila. Upon call for vote the

President Phillips then discussed with Members of the Commission
the 2one chanye requested at 8975 S. W. Burnham from M-3 to A-2,
Upon consultation with Attorney Anderson it was decided a hearing '
should be given on this zone change at the meeting on September 19t�h
and to notify all persons within the area required by the Zoning
Ordinance.
'Phere being no further business B. Brazauski moved to ad,Jaurn,
seconded by J. H. Schulte and unanimously approved. Ad,Jourment
taken at 8:35 P.M.
