NOTE:
This memo is intended to inform you of our recommendations for the foundation of
the above referenced project. We preformed a job site visit on 2-6-15 to observe the
existing slope cuts and foundation forms. We recommend installing an additional
strip footing and stem wall,which will then be backfilled to eliminate the steep cut
at the current footing. Please see attached plan and detail cut for more information.
It was also observed that the front garage retaining wall toe sits close to a steep cut.
We discussed this condition with Jeremy Fissel of Earth Engineers, Inc. and it is
their opinion that cut will support the foundation for construction purposes. After
the foundation completed,and before the retaining wall is backfilled,this area shall
be backfilled to the recommendations of Earth Engineers,Inc. Please see attached
plan markups, detail sketch and pictures for more information.
