NOTE:
This memo is intended to provide our recommendations for site retaining rockery
wall for the above-referenced project. It is our understanding that the batter of the
wall exceeds the 1:6 per the drawings. We made a site visit to observe the wall
construction and measure the existing height,batter and bolder sizes on 10-22-14.
I met with Phillip Rissel of Flying H Construction,the builder of the wall,to
discuss the construction. We also were provided with some photographs of the
wall during construction. Upon review of the as built condition, it is our opinion
that the existing batter,wall height,and boulders used are acceptable to provide
resistance to the overturning forces. It is our opinion that the as-built condition is
acceptable.
