All four(4) proposed catch basin are going to be substituted with the Nyloplastic CB's. The contractor will place the concrete collar, as shown in the manufacturer's installation instructions, around each catch basin. I have also instructed the contractor to provide 12" of clearance from the rim/grate to the outlet pipe. This will be consistent with the elevations shown on the Utility Sheet (C 5.0). The manufacturer constructs and delivers the catch basin to the job site with a 2' ± clearance from the grate to the outlet. This allows the contractor to trim off the excess and match the plans.
