The new 12.5-Ton replacement unit and curb weighs a maximum of 1437 lbs and the new 4-Ton unit and curb weighs a maximum of 662 lbs. Based on our review of the existing roof the structure will be adequate to support the replacement HVAC units provided the existing framing consists of 4x8 DF #2 blocking minimum. Please verify the existing support framing as indicated on sheet S-2 through S-7 prior to the installation of the new unit. Also included in this package are calculations and details for attachment of the new HVAC unit to resist wind and seismic loads. Please contact me with any questions.
