Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Agenda

MEETING LOCATION: Public Works Building, 8777 SW Burnham, Tigard, OR 97223
The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Advisory is to advise and advocate
for park and recreation opportunities for a growing Tigard.

3. Approval of Minutes—November 12, 2007
4. Discuss Joint Meeting with Council held on 11/20/07.
A. Discuss Agenda the Following Agenda Items:
1) Ask Council to give direction regarding conducting a Land Acquisition / Park Development
Bond Measure to Create a Stable Non-Park SDC Revenue Stream
2) Ask Council to give direction in establishing a 2-year Pilot Recreation Program
3) Ask Council to give direction regarding the inclusion of a city-wide recreation program
component in the upcoming update of the Park System Master Plan.
5. Discuss Board Recruitment process to appoint 4 new members (3 for 4-year terms and 1 as an alternate
board member.
6: Discuss Council Revisions to City's Comp Plan - proposed park and open space goals,policies and
action measures.
7. Adjourn
Executive Session: The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board may go into Executive Session under the
provisions of ORS 192.660 (1) (d), (e), (f) & (h) to discuss labor relations, real property transactions, current and
pending litigation issues and to consider records that are exempt by law from public inspection. All discussions
within this session are confidential; therefore nothing from this meeting may be disclosed by those present.
Representatives of the news media are allowed to attend this session,but must not disclose any information
discussed during this session.
